The Kitten Who Lost Her Purr by Quintin Jose V. Pastrana (signed)
A Cat-ionary tale for fur parents everywhere:
A hapless Furdad. A motherly Vet. On an unwitting mission to save a kitten who lost her purr.
Written in indigenous Ambahan verse form, this Seuss-y, Dahl-esque adventure in the big city jungle is a purr-fect parable for children of all ages.
The Ktten Who Lost Her Purr is the first children's book by Filipino author, Quintin Pastrana. It's a cross between Roald Dahl, Dr. Seuss in ambahan verse form, written last year right after the author became a furparent to a pair of exquisite creatures and overlords.
Quintin Jose V. Pastrana is an energy entrepreneur, library builder and author of three books including Infieles: Filipino Short Stories. He was educated at the universities of Georgetown, Cambridge and Oxford. His first novel "Ashura" will be published by Penguin Random House Southeast Asia in 2025.
Proceeds of the book will go to Partner Library in Barcelana, specifically to help ship the collection of new Filipino literature to reintroduce and represent the best of us to the Old World.
